different symbols, written or spoken, arranged together in a unique sequence that approximates a thought in a person’s mind.

Words. I almost always have some phrase, quote, line in a song, verse in the Bible, something that I am pondering. Some kind of words. Words are so powerful. They help us to make sense of life. We can communicate with them through talking or writing or music. Through them we relate our feelings & thoughts to those we wish to share them with. Words can break your heart & give you incredible joy. They can calm someone & anger another. They can heal & they can harm. The order, word choice, tone, definitions, explanations, punctuation, & so many other factors change the meaning of what we are trying to say. And we only know English!! There are SO MANY languages & each has a soul & a different way of communication. Obviously, I love language & how powerful it is, so it isn’t surprising that it is almost always on my mind in some form. 

All of that being said, I’ve decided to base this blog on those words, whatever they may be, that are with me at the moment. I want to share those lessons I will learn & those things I will notice, the connections, the reflections. This is how I will document in writing the adventure i’m about to go on! Aside from my journal, of course. Yes, I journal religiously. Did you expect any different?
